Removing Standardized Testing is Not the Fix-it-all Solution Colleges Were Hoping to Find
Abstract
During the Covid-19 pandemic, numerous colleges across the nation have decided to follow a recent trend of becoming test-optional. Although in previous years, some colleges have stated that going test-optional is a better choice for students as it makes the application more equal, the reality is that going test-optional is a step in the right direction, but it is only the first of many steps that colleges need to take to reduce the inequality found in the education system.
